About Days Lane Baptist Church

Scripture describes the believers in the church as ‘children of day’ who must not sleep, but to be watchful and sober (1 These 5:5-6). As a church we are aware that our nation and our world is in spiritual darkness and those who are not in Christ walk in darkness.

The one thing that this world needs more than anything is Jesus Christ because He is the Light of men. As a church, our aim is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to live in accordance to His Word. We recognise that at one time we were all in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord and as a church we must walk as children of light.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is preeminent in all that is done at Days Lane, because He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our worship service is all for Him and not to entertain man. In all that we do, we glorify God in that salvation is through Christ alone, by faith alone, by grace alone, according to the scriptures alone and for the glory of God alone.

Furthermore, the mind of every Christian must be renewed and our thoughts and conduct must transfer from being under the influence of the World, the devil and the flesh, to being led by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Our services simply exposit the Word of God, one verse at a time, to equip the believer in every matter unto righteousness.

The Word of God is lamp to our feet; strength and intercession from Christ enables us to do all things; sanctification and guidance from the Holy Spirit conforms us to the image of Christ; and the love of the Father holds us fast so we can never be separated from Him.

We trust that you will discover the light and love of Christ among us. Our prayer is that we’ll live up to His name.
