Premarital and Marriage support

“Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Days Lane Baptist Church is proud to offer premarital and marital support to equip couples to prepare for a marriage that glorifies God.

Marriage is the greatest relationship that one could have. In marriage, the couple are no longer individuals, they are “one flesh” (Genesis 2:24).

We live in a world that has a warped view about marriage. It is the responsibility of the Christian to not live according to the world, though they are in the world, but according to the timeless, powerful Word of God.

Marriages go though trials at times, but the Scriptures provide clear guidance on how a relationship that seeks to first honour God, can flourish.

For couples desiring to be married at Days Lane Baptist Church, this course is required and all weddings at Days Lane Baptist Church must align with our Doctrinal Statement on Marriage, which specifies what we believe about the union between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:21–24; Matthew 19:4–6; Mark 10:6–9).

The sessions are available only for those in serious courtships, engaged, newlyweds, and married couples desiring a marriage refresher.

The sessions take place three times a year in January/February, May/June, and September/October. For specific dates and guidance, visit us and ask the leadership.
